My Favorite Holiday

Everyone has their own favorite Holiday. That can be either Christmas, Thanksgiving or even Sweetest Day. For me however, my most favorite holiday ever is Pazcki Day, or more popularly known as Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras).

I was first introduced to this glorious holiday 4 years ago- ever since then I am a devout fanatic. I always order pazcki’s from Weber’s Bakery, my most favorite bakery! for the past 3 years I have become like the Santa Claus of pazcki’s for my family. I absolutely love sharing this holiday with them.

I start the day by picking up my order- there is usually a long line, but the way that they move at that bakery you only wait around 15-30 min at most. Then, I go to my mother-in-laws to have coffee and pazcki. I then drop off the rest of the orders. It’s become a whole day thing.

By the end of the day, I have probably eaten anywhere around 5-7 pazcki’s! Only sad thing about this Holiday is that the pazcki’s are only around that one day! So for the next 365 days I shall just dream of when I again shall celebrate with Pazcki!

A look at how serious I am about my holiday.

I have this crazy dream…

Have you all ever really wanted to do something but fear gets in your way? That’s exactly what I have been going through for the past two years… maybe not so much fear getting in my way, moreso doubt in myself. Lack of confidence.

For a while now, I have been obsessed with makeup- both doing it on myself and others. Because of this obsession of mine- I spend hours at times watching my favorite YouTube makeup gurus just sit in front of a camera and put on makeup. How envious I am!

So for the past two years I’ve been saying I am going to start a YouTube channel and do what I love doing as a hobby, but has that happened?! NO! Why? Because for some crazy reason I have no confidence in my skill. Which is obviously crazy because with practice comes skill- because it will never be perfect, there’s always room to grow. 🙂

Well, I am finally taking that step for my YouTube channel dream- I am buying a camera! Something so simple yet so big at the same time!

Until then, here are some pictures from when I played with some makeup. 🙂

So it’s day four of this 8 week challenge of mine. Here are some things that I have noticed.

What’s easy:

  • Planning foods and recipes
  • Planning workouts & finding quick workouts in web.

What’s hard:

  • Prepping the food a week in advance.
  • Drinking a gallon of water a day- who knew drinking water would be hard?!
  • Getting up and working out, getting to a gym!

So, needless to say, this challenge seems to be an actual challenge, but I have my support group who is also doing the challenge. We have a group text and use that to cheer, help & suggest things we find help us.

Stay tuned for more. 🙂

Summer Body Motivation

Well it’s that time of the year again, when you can sense that summer is just around the corner and all anyone can think of is getting your “Summer Body” ready.

Of course, me being one of those people, I am starting an 8-week challenge by Jillian Perih. I started a few days after hers, but I am still going to be following it as best as I can. This will be a test of my will power.

Today is day one, and I must say, I was very pleased with myself. I made a breakfast smoothie along with prepping and making my lunch. I just hope I can keep this momentum for the next 8 weeks.

Not only will I need the momentum for food, but also for making time for my workouts. which means getting up early and hitting the gym before work – since sadly, my gym is closed by the time I get out of work.

Stay tuned for more on this crazy journey of mine.
