50 Squat Challenge

Booty booty booty! LOL

Okay, I have joined a 50 Squat challenge at my job. You do 50 squats each day for the month of March, then on the last day of the month there is a squat off!

Now, this challenge is also done for a good cause. OverHaul Health is who is doing this challenge. All proceeds from merchandise or raffles for this challenge are going to help homeless women & children. You can also donate at there gofundme page.

So, not only do I get to work on having a Kardashian derrière, but I also get to donate to a great cause! That’s what I call a WIN-WIN!

the start of something…

Okay you guys, I finally started going to the gym again! I have been paying a gym membership for around a year (or two) and for the past 6 months or so I have gone maybe 3 times- only to use the sauna! No shame!

Yesterday, I finally went back and actually worked out for a total of 51 minutes! WHOOHOO! Needless to say I am completely sore in my arms and legs… But man did it feel good to be back and actually work out! So, along with all the other changes I’m making to have a better lifestyle and be healthier I am hoping that working out sticks this time around. So, here’s to starting up something new…. (again). LOL

Update

So it’s day four of this 8 week challenge of mine. Here are some things that I have noticed.

What’s easy:

  • Planning foods and recipes
  • Planning workouts & finding quick workouts in web.

What’s hard:

  • Prepping the food a week in advance.
  • Drinking a gallon of water a day- who knew drinking water would be hard?!
  • Getting up and working out, getting to a gym!

So, needless to say, this challenge seems to be an actual challenge, but I have my support group who is also doing the challenge. We have a group text and use that to cheer, help & suggest things we find help us.

Stay tuned for more. 🙂

Summer Body Motivation

Well it’s that time of the year again, when you can sense that summer is just around the corner and all anyone can think of is getting your “Summer Body” ready.

Of course, me being one of those people, I am starting an 8-week challenge by Jillian Perih. I started a few days after hers, but I am still going to be following it as best as I can. This will be a test of my will power.

Today is day one, and I must say, I was very pleased with myself. I made a breakfast smoothie along with prepping and making my lunch. I just hope I can keep this momentum for the next 8 weeks.

Not only will I need the momentum for food, but also for making time for my workouts. which means getting up early and hitting the gym before work – since sadly, my gym is closed by the time I get out of work.

Stay tuned for more on this crazy journey of mine.

A Little Test of Will Power

Little secret about myself… I have no will power what so ever when it comes to food. I LOVE food. I love trying all types of food. And the way to ever get me super happy or the way to my heart is through food. So with that said, I have decided to do a little test of my will power.

I had 5 people name a food for me to give up for two weeks.

img_4481This should be an interesting experiment. I’m starting off with two weeks, if I make it I will extend it.

Wish me luck!
